Yoyo Art Bar
The idea of this project is to engage art and community in Japan through a sharing space, face-to-face interaction and physical space mediated networking. The work consist of 6 designed spaces, installations and social activities. The six spaces are Kitchen, Bar, Guest Room, Living Room, Library and Window Gallery. The Kitchen, Bar, Living Room, Library and Window Gallery are designed as a sharing space for resident artists in Koganecho and the local community, while the Guest Room is use for Koganecho’s visiting guests. The openess and sharing space concept is adopted from Indonesian art community culture. This project aims to share the artist’s experience and to challange the incredulousness and the angularity of Japanese culture, yet to develop international art network especially between Asian countries.
This project is commissioned by Koganecho Area Management Center, Yokohama.
